New Day, New Unknowns
The blog of the unknown,
updated for the spectacle
Clean living, living clean
sounds great until you replace clean
with sober
and then, sucking air through teeth
squinting eyes
painful pity
Sobriety
Dealing with life without lifelong coping mechanisms
Ever thought you
Needed
a drink
Yeah,
Me too
Ever thought
weed is the best thing ever
Yeah,
Me fucking too
It's a crutch, it clouds the mind
doesn't let us deal
Dealing sucks
It's not like a stack of cards that can be evenly distributed
As if
balance and happiness
were human rights
and not privileges
The privilege of sobriety
the clarity and pain
It's clear I'm in pain
Holding on
Learning how to let go for real
Not just shrugging, but internalizing
The proverb of the dude, carrying each rock that was hurled at him on his back. For me, it's in my chest.
My lungs are filled with the rocks of the struggles, abuses, assaults.
Breathing is getting easier...
